NRW Holdings Limited (ASX:NWH) has announced a new milestone as its subsidiary, Golding Contractors Pty Ltd, enters a significant Mining Services Agreement (MSA) with Stanmore SMC Pty Ltd for the South Walker Creek (SWC) Mine in Queensland’s Central region. Set to start in January 2026, this five-year contract holds an approximate value of $1.6 billion.
Golding Contractors will manage and maintain eight fleets of heavy equipment as part of the project, focusing on both overburden removal and the extraction of steel-making coal. This work will utilise assets from Golding’s acquisition of the HSE SWC contract, which was finalised on August 1, 2024.
The agreement will support employment for about 650 personnel, primarily from the surrounding areas, adding a local economic boost alongside NRW’s operational goals.
NRW’s CEO, Jules Pemberton, commented on this achievement, saying, “This contract strengthens our long-standing relationship with Stanmore. Together with our drilling and blasting subsidiary, ADB, already on-site at SWC, this new project enhances NRW’s strong presence in the mining sector. With our order book now reaching $7 billion, we look forward to a successful and productive collaboration.”
