About the Opportunity
We are seeking an Experienced Workshop Leading Hand for a Permanent Full-Time opportunity, based at our Cooljarloo Mineral Sands Project. This is a multifaceted role, that will provide both technical support and leadership for our workshop team.
About You
- 3 Years Experience in a Similar Role
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate (Heavy Duty Mechanics or Automotive Electrician Highly Regarded)
- Current Section 26 Certification (Highly Regarded)
- Display a clear commitment and focus on the health, safety and well-being of all employees
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret detailed plans and diagrams
- Hold a valid Australian Drivers Licence
- Current High Risk Work Licence: LF, DG, RB & CB (Highly Regarded)
- Willingness to undertake a Pre-Employment Medical & Drug / Alcohol Screen
Responsibilities
- Delivering effective leadership through engagement, guidance, support and feedback to teams and individuals
- Monitor work tasks closely and aid in resolving any associated issues promptly
- Optimize resource management to minimize costs effectively
- Encourage innovation and employee engagement to drive continuous improvement in work practices
- Experience in repairing and maintaining our machinery such as: CAT, Liebherr, Hitachi, Komatsu & John Deere mining equipment.
- Current experience in a mining or civil engineering environment, working on large scale equipment.
- Diagnose and work through complex problems
- Combination of workshop repair work and field maintenance
- Ability to meet deadlines whilst maintaining a strong approach to safety
