About the role
We have an opportunity available for an experienced Workshop and Warehouse Manager to join the team based at our facility in Henderson. This position is a key role within the business with responsibility for managing and supervising the Warehouse department to achieve safety, quality, delivery, service and cost targets.
Lead Workshop (encompassing Workshop Planning Team) and Warehouse Operations Teams to become best in class and aligned to the FLSmidth Global strategies, as measured by Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost and performance. This encompasses Parts Warehousing and Distribution and, the Repair and Return of Customer Owned Assets associated with a large range of Minerals Processing Equipment and Spare Parts.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with the established safety management systems and legislative requirements.
- Manage the safety culture within sphere of operation.
- Focus the team on developing the appropriate safety culture to eliminate harm to our workforce.
- Oversee the development, management and continual improvement of the workflow processes, both physical and back of house.
- Oversee the direction and control of the Warehouse functions to ensure the efficient and effective utilisation of the Perth facilities for the storing and distribution of materials.
- Maintain daily timesheets.
- Ensure accuracy of time allocated to Jobs.
- Maintain Budget v Actual Job results.
- Lead the people throughout Operations to build a high performing team culture.
- Recruit high calibre people to fill business requirements and build an effective Operations Team.
- Manage under-performing people to either improve performance or move out of the organisation.
- Provide consistent and regular feedback on performance to the team members.
- Ensure the PDR process is implemented and followed to ensure clear direction is provided to individual contributors and provision of support in a timely fashion is also provided as required.
- Ensure employee turnover is minimised and engagement is maximised.
What you bring
- Demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills- Leading Others or equivalent training
- Minimum 5 Years’ experience in Warehouse and or Workshop Leadership
- Exposure and familiarity with Minerals Processing Equipment
- Experience in manufacturing/repairing minerals process equipment
- Lean Practices; formal or in house recognised training
- Independent, proactive thinking and the ability to plan work schedule
