THE ROLE

The primary purpose of the Warehouse Officer is to provide assistance to the Warehouse Team Leader in the daily operations of the warehouse, not limited to Goods Receipting, Picking / Issuing of materials.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Checking and signing consignment notes
  • Loading and unloading freight utilising mobile plant
  • Stock picking, packing and processing of goods issues
  • Receipting of materials to warehouse utilising SAP inventory system
  • Review of Certifications for materials
  • Quality Assurance checks
  • Stocktaking
  • Investigation of stock discrepancies
  • Stock disposal processing
  • Investigating requirements for Offshore Returns
  • Use of staging and tracking tool in SAP
  • Packing materials for transport
  • Loading / Packing of materials into offshore containers for sea freight

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • Advanced experience using SAP inventory system
  • High risk forklift ticket – LF
  • Knowledge and understanding of warehousing operations
  • High attention to detail

Desirable

  • Knowledge and experience of applicable standards and legislation for dangerous goods handling and storage awareness
  • Demonstrated experience completing IMDG documentation
  • Demonstrated experience handling dangerous goods
  • Certificate III qualifications in warehousing operations or the ability to achieve
  • Advanced skills using Microsoft Office, Excel and Power point
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment
  • IMDG, IATA Dangerous Goods Certificate
  • Current First Aid certificate
