Our client, a leading national distributor of globally recognised industrial brands, are seeking a motivated Warehouse Assistant to join their busy warehouse team in Perth on a permanent basis. With experience in delivering effective and efficient warehouse operations, you will be responsible for the management and handling of stock to ensure accurate fulfilment or customer orders whilst working in a safe and collaborative manner.

About the role
As a Warehouse Assistant, you will be responsible for the following:
- Accurately picking and preparing orders in a timely manner in accordance with picking slips.
- Safe operation of forklift trucks to load and unload delivery vehicles and containers, as well as moving and placing stock within the correct designated warehouse locations.
- Re-stock all picking locations as and when required.
- Preparing orders and assisting with the loading of delivery vans.
- Maintaining a clean and organised warehouse.
- Ensuring compliance with all site safety rules.
- Other general warehousing duties.
To be successful, you will possess the following:
- A current and valid LF forklift truck licence
- At least one year’s experience operating forklift trucks within a warehousing environment –
- A sound understanding of warehouse procedures and practices.
- Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
- Be physically fit and capable of repetitive heavy lifting.
- Possess excellent attention to detail as well as fantastic communication skills – both verbal and written.
- Be self-motivated with strong time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
