We currently have an opportunity for a self-motivated, reliable Trades Assistant based in Rockhampton. The position is responsible for aiding in the installation, operation, repair and maintaining of electrical, fire, hydraulic, security, grounds, and mechanical services within the facility.

Your day to day activities:

Hands-on support to install, operate, repair and maintain electrical, fire, mechanical systems and general hand work.
Conduct routine equipment inspections and report operational issues
Promote a Zero Harm culture by following safe work practices and reporting incidents promptly
Provide courteous service to Base personnel and visitors, adhering to site-specific rules
Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks and incidents
Perform other duties as directed, contributing to operational efficiency and safety

What youll bring:

Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and fire equipment maintenance principles, including safety and regulatory requirements.
Familiarity with hazardous material handling regulations and environmental guidelines for buildings, generating plants, and electrical works
Australian citizenship and eligibility for Defence TSPV security clearance.
Strong teamwork skills and commitment to collaborative work environments.
Proficient written and oral communication abilities.
Class C Driver’s Licence, ensuring mobility on-site.
Dedication to achieving 100% compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) standards, contributing to a zero-harm workplace culture.
