About the role:

The Inventory team is currently seeking a Superintendent Inventory Control to join them on a 5:2 Roster based in Perth for a 12 month Fixed Term Contract Reporting to the Manager Inventory, you will be responsible for providing inventory management services to ensure the optimal supply of material to the Roy Hill operations. The Superintendent is responsible for management and development of people, systems and processes to ensure supply and timely availability of parts to support optimal availability.

This role includes direct leadership of one Advisor Inventory Disposals and three Senior Advisor Inventory Control, who collectively lead a team of 15 Advisor Inventory Control.

Duties:

  • Manage Material Phase Out and Phase In process
  • Manage the review of Maintenance work orders for weekly maintenance, minor and major shutdown events that include requirements for catalogued and non-catalogued materials, repairable and service exchange materials.
  • Monitor the return of unused stock and rotable materials to the warehouse.
  • Monitor replenishment of stocked materials and report on that have no stock on hand.
  • Manage team MRP monitoring and vetting of the PRs that are created, requesting PR approval with justification for purchases over $100k
  • Manage team daily MRP exception messages and take corrective actions to prevent over and under ordering of materials.
  • Provide continuous insight into supplier’s progress towards meeting the purchase order requirements; in particular the agreed delivery dates and to coordinate the delivery of the Goods while maintaining up to date and accurate expediting documentation and reporting

Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, or manufacturing/ maintenance planning experience with extensive understanding of SAP material management and Plant Maintenance
  • Substantial experience in supply chain or asset management
  • Supervisory experience highly desirable
  • A demonstrated combination of training and vendor engagement, warehouse or inventory management experience
