Golding are currently seeking a Specialist Mechanical Engineer (Reliability) to be based in our Brisbane office. Reporting to the General Manager Plant, this position will manage the performance of centralised reliability improvement functions for maintenance on mining projects.
The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience with maintenance of mobile mining equipment as well as have exposure to maintenance of major assets such as draglines and coal processing plants. Strong working knowledge of the SAP Plant Maintenance module as well as fluid condition analysis experience will be highly regarded.
Candidates will hold Engineering qualifications and be highly capable, possessing not only the required technical skills but also demonstrated ability in applying effective social process skills, including leadership and communication. The successful candidate will have strong drive and energy and thrive on working in a challenging work environment. Flexible working arrangements are available for this role.
Key Role Tasks:
- Support projects use of the Golding Managing Fluid Condition procedure;
- Facilitate the Golding Plant Change Management procedure;
- Create and manage SAP maintenance plans and associated objects as in accordance with the Golding SAP Maintenance Plan standard;
- Develop and improve service sheets in accordance with the Golding Service Sheet standard;
- Provide monthly reports to the business to facilitate improved outcomes relating to key roles tasks;
- Create and maintain work instructions for tasks performed as part of role summary;
- Conduct remote and in person training of Brisbane and project personnel as required in relation to key role tasks;
- Attend team meetings and make monthly short visits to projects as directed by you manager;
- Work with the Technical Specialists across the business and your Manager to identify issues with equipment reliability and participate in implementation of improvements;
- Work with Student and Graduate Engineers within the Plant Engineering team to delegate tasks within their capability and provide training and support where approved by your manager.
Key Capability requirements:
- Mechanical Engineering degree or another related field is essential;
- Strong working knowledge of SAP Plant Maintenance module;
- Fluid Condition analysis experience;
- At least three years of project based mobile plant maintenance experience;
- Leadership skills including the ability to manage change, influence, motivate, mediate, negotiate and improve the performance, satisfaction and skill level of all operators;
- Ability to work as part of a cohesive team and work to the plan;
- Communication including verbal, written and interpersonal and the ability to interact and liaise with all levels including internal stakeholders, external stakeholders and clients;
- Prioritisation and organisational skills including the ability to meet deadlines and delegate effectively;
- Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
