Your new role
Reporting to the Manager of Communications in Adelaide, the Specialist Communications role is currently available for an experienced communications professional offered as a 9-month fixed-term contract. This position will involve developing quality content, creating and implementing communications plans, and acting as a trusted adviser and business partner.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and deliver day-to-day employee and stakeholder communications with a strong editorial focus.
- Create compelling content for social media.
- Drive the creation of video and photographic content.
- Identify proactive communication opportunities.
- Develop and implement effective communication strategies to meet business needs.
- Serve as a reliable strategic communications business partner.
- Identify emerging risks or issues that could impact BHPs reputation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve measurable results.

- Strong understanding of digital tools and platforms, both internal and external.
- Experience in video production and photography.
