senior supervisor, mill operations
the senior supervisor, mill operations leads the team to deliver safe, productive, responsible, and efficient mill operations including, but not limited to operational planning and coordination of shutdowns and projects. they maximize operational reliability by establishing baseline performance standards, and leading the execution and delivery of process improvement. the senior supervisor, mill operations supports, coaches, trains and creates space for the mill operations teams to be successful including some mill and contractor supervision when required.

leading and coordinating mill operations resources.
- be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures.
- understand mill processes, plans activities to enable close collaboration with shift supervisors, engineers, and maintenance personnel in preparing and coordinating mill supporting activities.
- efficiently and accurately manage mill operations team members and contractors to ensure safe and reliable mill operations.
- optimize mill systems to minimize disruption and maximize productivity, efficiency and safety.
- liaise with maintenance and metallurgy departments to minimize impacts of production and maintenance delays.
- provide and support communication links between production, maintenance, technical services, and operations employees.
- create space for the team to be effective in delivering results.
- foster an inclusive work environment.
- provide clear work objectives and expectations of the performance levels required for contractors.
- ensure that training is provided in accordance with the current and future needs of ct gold.
- promote a high-performance culture by setting expectations and providing feedback and coaching.
- offer new approaches, methods or policies to optimize performance and ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational standards.

- establish baseline performance standards for the mill which includes developing and updating pi trends, standard operating procedures, operational inspections/check sheets and more.
- assist, support and lead mill related health and safety initiatives.
- establish systems and standards to monitor mill performance.
- lead the execution and delivery of process improvements.
- ensure that employees are kept informed of safety, production, and cost performance data, to encourage growth and participation in potential improvements to each kpi.
- be pro-active and solution driven and implement operational improvements.
- commit to continuous learning and improvement.
- continually seek to improve your skills as a senior specialist, mill operations.
- watch for inefficiencies or problems.
- ensure problems and inefficiencies are shared with others.
