Stellar Recruitment has partnered with Ashhurst Engineering who are currently seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to spearhead our dynamic project and estimation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, resourcing, and managing projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage projects to ensure the successful execution of contracts.
- Guide the estimation and project team in preparing and submitting accurate, cost-effective tenders, bids, and quotations in line with customer requirements.
- Develop and maintain project management team competency, including the implementation of an effective knowledge management system, processes, and procedures.
- Contribute significantly to the ongoing certification to ISO Quality Management Standard.
- Advocate for a safe and healthy work environment for all staff and visitors.
Please note: Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory and this role requires a Ministry of Justice criminal history check.
We welcome candidates with experience in power generation and transmission, infrastructure, structural engineering, and construction industries. The ability to understand business challenges and strategic opportunities, and to develop clear project plans to meet all objectives, goals, and commitments is paramount.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant Project Management certification(s) such as PMP.
- A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in comparable senior Project Manager roles, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
- Comprehensive knowledge of project management techniques and disciplines.
- Ability to build strong, trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
- Excellent health, safety, and environmental management skills.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in business/commerce, engineering, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and achieve results.
- Experience in managing vendor relationships.
