About the company
This privately owned open pit mining contractor has grown at a rapid speed over the past 18 months, adding a number of new projects to their established portfolio. They are currently seeking either an experienced Senior Mine Surveyor or an experienced Mine Surveyor ready to step into a Senior role to join their Technical Services team.

About the role

Reporting into the Senior Mining Engineer, this role will see you play a key role in providing accurate survey data and technical support to optimize operational activities. Furthermore you will be responsible for ensuring regulatory standards are in compliance and generate detailed survey plans and maps to support mine planning. Your key responsibilities will include monitoring and reporting on ore extraction, pit development and waste management activities. You will be conducting surveying of open pit mining areas such as bench and stockpile surveys and work closely with mine planning and geology departments to ensure the greatest operational outcomes.

About you

  • You will have a tertiary qualification in Survey or Geomatics
  • Grade 1 or 2 Authorization
  • Possess a minimum of 5 years experience as an open pit Mine Surveyor with proven experience in gold
  • Have a positive can-do attitude and a team approach
  • Strong ability to communicate with stakeholders on all levels
