We are currently seeking a Senior Manager, Project Logistics whom will be responsible for the management of project deliveries and team members in line with project schedules and budgets by leading and collaborating successfully with customers, external suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Due to the team location and business requirements associated with this role the successful candidate will be based in West Perth, Western Australia.
What you will do?
- Overall leadership and management of the Project Logistics Central and East team with approx. 8 team members
- Proactively engaging, developing and leading team members in respective business or geographical area
- Develop aftermarket Project Logistics operations through KPI performance management, resource management, stakeholder management, and cost management
- Align operational model and provide support for stakeholders (e.g., Project Managers, Business lines) and is an escalation point for any operational project logistics topics
- Be active member of the Project Logistics leadership team
- Planning, managing and monitoring of logistics in projects
- Selecting and purchasing logistics services according to corporate sourcing rules
- Managing shipping and transportation schedules according to project / sales order delivery schedule
- Managing and driving service levels received by Logistics Service Providers
- Preparing required logistics and customs clearance documentation
- Supporting Customer with customs issues
- Monitoring and reporting deviations to logistics budget and project delivery schedule
- Managing logistics related claims
- Managing any non-project related miscellaneous shipments
What you will need to succeed?
Essential
- Experience in leading remote team in a global/ international environment
- Experience in leading and mentoring a Logistics scope/ team with project deliverables.
- Extensive knowledge of International Logistics procedures in air/ocean freight, and domestic transport
- Experience in Project Logistics
- Strong interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Organisation and time management skills
- Work autonomously and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to articulate, engage and analyze situations, seeking practical solutions to drive positive outcomes.
