Salary range $135,459 $157,027 plus super

About You:

As an experienced SQL Database Administrator, you have a solid background in SQL Admin and Snowflake, honed over more than 8 years in high-performance, large scale IT environments. Your expertise lies in automating database server management and incident linking, and you possess expert-level skills in SQL Always On databases and clusters, along with advanced performance tuning and enterprise backup solution experience. You are proficient in managing enterprise applications, server administration, and database security. Additionally, you are adept at querying, configuring, automating, building, and conducting health checks across numerous systems and monitoring tools, with strong coding and scripting abilities on Windows platforms.

About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity to drive and deliver database excellence at Hydro Tasmania. Youll enhance operational performance by managing a range of database systems across whole of business, leveraging automation and orchestration to streamline processes and tackle system challenges head-on. With a focus on optimising and evolving our systems, you’ll collaborate with dynamic teams, lead impactful RDBMS implementations, and ensure our infrastructure remains operating at a high standard. Embrace the chance to shape data management, execute strategic upgrades, and standardise our database landscape to deliver outstanding value and efficiency. Supported by a team of passionate IT professionals you will be required to participate in an on-call roster.
