Your New Opportunity:

An excellentfull time,permanentopportunity has arisen for aPurchasing Officerto join our Team at ourNationalParts Distribution Centre (PDC)located in Wacol, Brisbane.

Main responsibilities will include;

  • Ensure effective purchasing and replenishment of parts inventory within the guidelines of the stock control KPI’s.
  • Place purchase orders with suppliers within the inventory forecasting systems
  • Monitor the performance of the suppliers using the IDS reporting functions

About you:

  • Knowledge / back ground in purchasing operations
  • Working knowledge of Inventory Purchasing fundamentals (aged stock management, stock turn ratios, establishing safety stocks, economic order quantities and forecasting).
  • Working knowledge of inbound international freight arrangements
  • Proficient user of MS Office suite of tools to build reports and present information
  • Communicate effectively with others – the ability to work as part of a team and has a commitment to being a team player.
  • Ability to communicate information in a positive manner, i.e. clear, logical, helpful, prompt, to fellow employees.
  • Display a strong customer service ethos
