The Opportunity:
With large scale expansions planned for their Bathurst site, this is an opportunity for an experienced HSE coordinator to leverage their background in construction to ensure the project is carried out safely, complying with relevant laws and requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Complete Risk Assessments prior to project commencement
- Ensure that all HSE requirements are met on site at all times
- Issue direction to stop work if instances of non compliance arise
- Identify and report all HSE risks and incidents to site management
- Manage competency and skills requirement for all site based staff including contractors
- Drive and report on KPI’s for all project staff
- Deliver safety training and induction to contractors, including OHSS and Life saving rules.
- Report on sustainability directly to the sustainability manager
Required experience:
- Exceptional knowledge of WHS and environmental law, codes of practice and standards.
- Previously implemented SHE Management systems and training programs
- Construction industry experience, preferably on commercial projects.
- Top communication skills, confident in collaborating with senior management.
- Construction White Card
- Minimum Cert IV in Safety
- First aid certified
- Full Australian Driver’s license.
