As a result of Georgious team expansion, we are seeking a few Project Engineers with expertise in structural and civil engineering join our project team and make a valuable contribution to deliver the main construction contract for the Newell Highway upgrade, Parkes Bypass ($115 million). The project involves relocating the highway two kilometres west of Parkes for a total length of 10.5km’s, along with the construction of two new bridges, new intersections and a four-way roundabout. Once delivered, the project is set to reduce travel time, improve freight productivity and safety along a vital transport corridor in New South Wales.

You will be trusted to:

  • Project Planning: Develop short-term programs, coordinate project tasks, and ensure milestones are met to keep the project on schedule.
  • Progress Monitoring: Continuously track project progress, report on key performance indicators, and propose corrective actions when necessary to maintain project alignment with the contractual schedule.
  • Financial Oversight: Review project financial outcomes, meticulously manage short-term cost controls, and optimize resource allocation for efficient project delivery.
  • Team Support: Provide daily support and supervision to field operations, ensuring work complies with quality and safety standards, and foster a culture of excellence in project outcomes.
  • Contract Administration: Oversee daily contract requirements, including the fulfillment of contractual obligations. Collaborate in the negotiation and management of subcontractor and supply agreements to ensure productive and effective project partnerships.

What youre good at:

To excel in this role, you should:

  • Hold relevant civil engineering qualifications and demonstrate similar experience in the delivery of TfNSW major infrastructure projects
  • Possess more than just knowledge; you have the capability to manage and oversee project sections effectively.

To thrive in our dynamic team environment, we’re on the lookout for candidates who not only excel in contract administration and negotiation but also have the charisma to lead, motivate, and inspire others to achieve project success. Your application will be prioritised (although not mandatory) if you are able to demonstrate:

  • Solid knowledge of RMS/TfNSW specs
  • Experience working in a Tier 1/2 or principal contractors environment
