Production Officer & Agi Driver

The Role

Holcim is looking for a Production Officer who holds a current HR license, for their plant located in Cairns. Minimum 6-months on road truck experience required. This role is a mix of production, batching and agitator driving.

Roles in Concrete Plants are fast paced and will require you to be a strong problem solver, process driven with a high level of attention to detail.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Supporting and displaying a strong safety culture at all times
  • Production of concrete using multiple systems and processes
  • Allocating and assigning loads to drivers
  • Stock management and coordination of deliveries
  • Managing contractors arriving to site
  • Conducting daily pre-checks on the vehicle and operating the Agitator trucks in a safe manner
  • Delivering concrete to customer sites
  • Yard maintenance and front-end loader operation
  • Forklift operation and manual handling of bagged products

About you:

  • Hold a current HR licence with a minimum of 6-month on road truck driving experience and clear driving history
  • Forklift and front-end loader tickets – Desirable
  • Good computer skills and the ability to learn new software
  • Be a team player who is self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised,
  • Willingness to go the extra mile, supporting a strong team culture
  • Be passionate about safety, with a strong work ethic, and is results focused
  • Have effective communication skills and works well under pressure
  • Be able to physically perform all duties associated with the position
  • Ability to complete a full pre-employment medical with Drug & Alcohol screening
  • Must hold full Australian work rights with no restrictions on employment duration or hours (no holiday or student visas)
