Our Opportunity
Work Location: Port Hedland
- Fortescues Hedland Operations are located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people.
Roster: 8D6R – residential in Port Hedland or FIFO via Perth
Reporting to the Port Operations Superintendent, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimization of the port operations process by working with Integrated planning, CHF, Maintenance and shipping to achieve plant performance and throughput. You will also manage projects and workgroups to assist in Port improvements and development in accordance with Fortescue’s Safety initiatives, Visions and Values.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimisation of Port Operations daily plan in conjunction with IP,CHF, Maintenance and Shipping
- Manage Ports Civils and washdown work groups to achieve optimum plant performance
- Work with projects and engineering to develop new install strategies and optimization of Port equipment
- Ability to push for stretch targets to achieve compliance and tons
- Manage Magnetite rehandling processes to achieve product shipments and compliance
- Provide Guidance & Support to Port Operations Supervisors
- Ensure all controls are effective & in place relating to Fortescue Environmental Licence to Operate
Qualifications and Experience
- Extensive exposure in a mining/mineral or processing facility – (desirable)
- Project management exposure – (desirable)
- Extensive Port Operations experience and knowledge
- Product handling experience and knowledge
- SAP experience
- General computer skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Current WA Drivers Licence (C Class)
- Extensive expouruse in Managing & Diverse workgroup
