Our Client, a Tier 1 Iron Ore Producer, is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Procurement Specialist to be primarily based at their Perth office.

In preparation for the transition to the next generations of our client’s Facilities Management contract(s), we are looking for an experienced Procurement Professional to join our team and support delivery of key initiatives. The current contract is the highest spend contract by value for our client and is a key enabler for our client’s People at the Heart strategic pillar.
Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Principal Advisor Facilities Management, this person will:

Analyse current-state fact base and develop a local procurement strategy
Lead internal workshops with senior stakeholders in the business
Support with internal communications and change management engagement
Prepare benchmarking data to support a co-designed contracting strategy
Draft business cases for change.
Look after the current Facilities Management Contract and ensure the terms are adhered to by the Contractor.
Collect, collate data and shape insights around the strategy.
Work with all sites to assist with transitioning facilities management from site based to Central Office based location.

Qualifications and Experience

3 to 5 years’ Procurement experience
Ideally hold Finance or Accounting qualifications
Ideally hold a Prince 2 qualification but not essential
Ideally worked at Deloite, KPMG, Ernst and Young or Price Waterhouse Coopers.
Ability to build instant and strong rapport and engagement with external stakeholders and draft communications
Experienced in contract negotiation and drafting
Ideally come from a Project Management background in Facilities Management to assist the business through the various project stage gates
Experience collecting data and shape insights around strategy
Ability to think strategically and make recommendations to the business
