Payroll & Administration Officer

A newly created role has opened for a Payroll & Administration Officer who is looking for a part time opportunity. Based in Newton, and initially working 26 hours per week with the view to convert to full time, this role will suit someone who is seeking a varied role with payroll and general office administration experience. Reporting to the owner of a family-owned business, this exciting opportunity will be able to shape the role to suit the business needs.

About the role:

  • Honouring privacy and confidentiality, you will be required to process weekly payroll in a timely and accurate manner for approximately 40 employees including managing terminations, onboarding, off boarding, leave, discrepancies = all things payroll!
  • Accounts payable & receivable including data entry and statement reconciliation
  • Purchase orders and ordering materials as required
  • General office administration including managing email inbox, printing, filing etc
  • Manage EBA and employment contracts
  • Provide tender submission, WHS and quality support
  • Assist with resource allocation

About you:

  • Must have payroll processing experience
  • Sound knowledge of MYOB is essential
  • Resilient and hard working
  • No task is too small attitude
  • Demonstrated general office administration experience
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • A self-starter who can work autonomously
