Our Energy Minerals Division provides high-quality, independent coal analysis and services to many Australian and international coal companies.  We have NATA accredited (ISO/IEC ) coal laboratories servicing all major coal ports in Australia and have significant involvement with the superintending of coal exported overseas, quality control at mine sites / power plants and borecore evaluation. Our tech services provide mechanical sampling design and commissioning for all bulk particulate materials.

Your key responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:

  • Understanding and ability to complete daily operational requirements including shift coverage as required
  • Ensuring timely and accurate reporting of production and project sample collection and analysis
  • Achieve effective communication with all internal and external customers – enhance coordination between own department and other departments by maintaining a good working liaison with relevant personnel
  • Ensuring site policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
  • Presents a united Leadership approach at all times and leads by example
  • Implement effective document control within the department
  • Conduct asset stocktakes and maintain the Asset Register and critical spares inventory.
  • Provide an onsite laboratory service to the Mine that supports the CHPP Services Contract
  • Previous experience and leading in a team environment highly regarded
  • Standard 11 highly regarded or ability to obtain
  • S1,2&3 G2 highly regarded or ability to obtain
  • Proficient in MS Office, including basic spread sheeting
  • Mathematical/Analytical principles
  • Knowledge of coal laboratory operations
