What’s on offer?
We currently have a position available for a National Health & Safety Manager to be based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. Reporting directly to the Executive General Manager (EGM) of People, Safety and Sustainability, this is a career-defining opportunity that will allow you to deliver a significant strategy, roll out key Health and Safety initiatives and make a REAL positive change that will benefit Fulton Hogan employees and industry.
You will provide overarching leadership to further establish and maintain effective and sustainable Health and Safety policies and practices for the organisation, whilst ensuring systems are effectively integrated and consistent across the business.
You will ensure that Fulton Hogan meets health and safety legislative requirements on an on-going basis and where necessary, advocate on behalf of FH to present and represent the interests and perspective of the company. Partnering up with the EGM – People Safety and Sustainability, you will continue to develop, sustain and advocate the implementation of an approach ensuring people and the communities in which we work are protected, delivery of work is on time and to our customer’s requirements, we operate within environmentally responsible and respectful operations and in line with all legislative and regulatory requirements, all the while supporting our people as part of a positive culture based on REAL values. Other key accountabilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Continue to execute the National Health and Safety Strategy and key initiatives with EGM People Safety and Sustainability and HSQE leads.
- Ensure Health and Safety systems are effectively integrated ensuring consistency across the business.
- Analysis of data for accurate reporting allowing the business to make evidence-based decisions in line with the strategic objectives.
- Governance of Health and Safety policies and procedures that interacts and supports each of the business streams.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of Standards and Legislation, guiding the business to best practice approaches.
How you’ll connect to the role?
Your exceptional leadership capability will see you successfully continue to further establish and maintain effective and sustainable Health and Safety policies and practices for Fulton Hogan. You will hold relevant tertiary qualification and possess significant practical, industry-related experience at a national level. Strong acumen in leading Health & Safety disciplines with the ability to impact, influence and change strategy could set you up for success in this role.
Ability to effectively communicate with executive management, and senior customer representatives, to identify and interpret key data insights to effectively improve business decisions, and to conceptualise, formulate and operationally deliver strategies will stand you in good stead for this role as will a collaborative approach to delivering business outcomes.
