THE ROLE
Applications are sought from experienced Underground Mining Engineer to join the team at Ora Banda.
The responsibilities of this role will include:
- Assist with mine designs, mining methods, equipment needs and recovery costs.
- Undertake production scheduling activities.
- Assist with ventilation surveys.
- Undertake shortterm planning activities.
- Develop drill and blast designs.
- Examine mining methods and equipment to investigate opportunities to improve.
- Monitor day to day mining operations against agreed plans and quality control standards.
- Scope, create and implement site instructions as required.
- Support the review of operating costs against budget.
- Project work as required.
- Undertake any other duties as may be specified from time to time by the Senior Mining Engineer or delegate.
ABOUT YOU
To be considered for the role, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Tertiary qualification in mining engineering or related discipline.
- 2 years experience in underground mining operations.
- Completion of UG time preferred
- Understanding of relevant legislation and regulations.
- Skilled in computer aided design software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Current WA C class drivers licence.
