Building on the ongoing success of our Technical Services portfolios, our Thunderbox operations are in search for a driven Mine Planning Engineer. The role offers a long-term and fulfilling future within a well-resourced department. All roles are offered on a working 8/6 roster FIFO ex Perth. What you can look forward to:

  • Produce accurate and clear mine instructions (Mine Plan Authorisations, Engineering Extensions, Change Request & Re-entry Notes) and ensure issued instructions are clear, correct and understandable for Operations team.
  • Work closely with the geology team to ensure designs are in line with available geological information.
  • Develop weekly plans and schedules and ensuring compliance to 3MS special requirements.
  • Coordinate with Survey and Operations team to prioritise and execute development activities.
  • Management of underground contractors for project work and lead the daily contractor compliance meetings.

Expertise and Accomplishments:

Candidates should hold a Bachelor Degree in Mining Engineering with practical underground time completed. Desirable skills include competency using Deswik packages (CAD, Schedule & IS) with demonstrated working knowledge in a fast-paced mechanised hard-rock underground operation. This coupled with understanding of forward planning and ability to be versatile is ideal.
