Are you looking to take the next step in your career? We have multiple exciting opportunities for experienced Mechanical Supervisors to become our next leaders at McArthur River Mine!

In this role, you will provide management support to the Mechanical Workshop team and contractors to ensure customer expectations are met, working with 40 units of brand-new Caterpillar equipment comprising of Large HMS & excavators along with Large Mining equipment including 793D, 995, 992, D11 and D10 models.

As a Mechanical Supervisor at MRM, you will:

  • Provide active management, leadership, guidance and coaching to the Mechanical Workshop team and contractors, ensure company policies and procedures are upheld
  • Be responsible for the governance and compliance for all mechanical activities and installations in the workshop
  • Have a high-level focus on safety and directions for the team
  • Develop and management of an Mechanical Skills training matrix
  • Ensure KPIs, targets, due dates and quality standards are met
  • Ensure single point accountability for all major mechanical projects. This is to be driven to ensure continuity of information and progress of all works

About You
A successful teammate will have:

  • Relevant mechanical trade qualification
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role within the mining and heavy earthmoving industries, leading a team to achieve targeted results
  • Knowledge of Caterpillar parts and service systems and a comprehensive understanding of the business systems and processes
  • Dedicated commitment to health and safety
  • High level of initiative, reliability and ability to work independently
  • A customer driven focus and demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining mutually beneficial customer relationships
  • A commitment to continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication, documentation and time management skills
  • A strong adherence to quality control
