Our client is looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join their maintenance team, based in the picturesque Mid-North region of South Australia. In this role, you’ll play a key part in handling mechanical breakdowns, performing equipment repairs, and troubleshooting issues. Duties include but are not limited to:

Respond to mechanical breakdowns on-site
Support contractor management when required
Repair and maintain faulty mechanical equipment
Fabricate and install replacement machinery or parts
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of equipment and processes
Follow all safety regulations and procedures
Ensure all paperwork is accurately completed and signed off
Perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment

Successful candidates will possess the following:

Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade
Minimum 3 years’ experience in fitting, turning, or mechanical maintenance (preferred)
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, with the ability to learn processes quickly
Excellent time management and organizational skills, with a track record of meeting deadlines
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to effectively prioritize and manage tasks
