Mechanical Fitter (Process Equipment & Manufacturing Maintenance)

Company Overview:
Atom Resources is recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing company. We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Fitter to perform maintenance and shutdown work across a variety of mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment. This role offers the potential for permanent employment.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance on pumps, motors, valves, bearings, and other mechanical systems.
  • Assist with planned shutdowns, overhauls, and equipment repairs to minimise downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical faults across manufacturing equipment.
  • Install, modify, and commission new mechanical systems as needed.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and comply with safety protocols.

Key Requirements:

  • 3-5 years’ experience as a Mechanical Fitter in a manufacturing environment.
  • Trade qualification (Cert III in Engineering – Mechanical).
  • Experience in plant shutdowns and critical maintenance work.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and safety awareness.
  • Ability to travel to Western Sydney and work flexible hours, including overtime during shutdowns.
