About the role
This exciting and rewarding opportunity for a Maintenance planner to join our team at Carborough Downs. Reporting to the Maintenance & Reliability Superintendent, the Planner will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed short- and medium-term maintenance plans and schedules through the engagement of maintenance coordinators, supervisors and trades and the application of the site computerised software management system Pulse.
Key Responsibilities of the role will include:
- Ensuring that maintenance schedules are developed to optimise equipment reliability and service life.
- Planning and scheduling activities, coordinating equipment repairs and installation to assist the process teams in ensuring safe operation.
- Liaising directly with coordinators, engineers, trades and operators regarding equipment performance to determine maintenance requirements and reliability issues to be addressed.
- Planning and scheduling labour, resources and parts for maintenance days and ongoing campaign maintenance tasks as identified as per the mine and process schedules.
- Reviewing reports and ensuring that all relevant information is accurately entered into Pulse for corrective actions.
- Sourcing parts to support plan to ensure that necessary spares are readily available to support the minimisation of mean time to repair.
- Maintaining compliance with legislative requirements pertaining to all work undertaken
- Recommending long range maintenance needs for the strategic maintenance plan
- Maintaining a list of opportunity work to be executed in the event of unscheduled equipment shutdown.
- Engaging Maintenance Coordinators, and leading planning and scheduling meetings weekly.
- Maintaining Pulse Data base to ensure all maintenance plans and information is correct.
- Reviewing plant condition monitoring reports to ensure work orders for corrective actions are created and scheduled
- Various ad hoc responsibilities as required.
About You:
To be successful as our new Planner, we are looking for an experienced individual with a relevant mechanical or electrical trade qualification. Additional tertiary qualifications in mechanical engineering or maintenance management will be highly regarded.
As the ideal candidate; you will have a significant proven track record working in this capacity in an underground coal mining environment and will have significant exposure to the use of maintenance management systems such as Pulse, MIMS or SAP. You will have a demonstrated commitment to the achievement of business goals and outcomes, enhanced by strong interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to influence others at all levels within the organisation.
Interpersonally, you will have the ability to integrate environmentally sound and sustainable practices efficiently into coal mining operations, a commitment and ability to successfully achieve business goals and outcomes while accepting accountability and responsibility at all times. You will also be focused, motivated and self-directed.
You will have a high regard for attention to detail, enhanced by strong interpersonal and communication skills and a commitment to safety in the workplace.
