The Opportunity
Veolia has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Coordinator to join our team based in Kurnell NSW .
In this hands on role, you will be responsible for maintaining excellent relationships with external clients, coordinating and carrying out maintenance, sampling, reporting, procurement and all other aspects of day to day running for the Sydney Desalination Plant Pipeline (between the desalination plant at Kurnell and the end of the pipeline at Erskinville) and the Cronulla Wastewater Recycling System at Cronulla.

What you’ll be responsible for
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, land owners, local councils, Sydney Water and regulatory bodies, ensuring contractual obligations and compliance is met or exceeded.
- Oversee the end to end maintenance, including execution and planning, sampling, reporting, procurement, and day-to-day running of both sites.
- Implement maintenance plans, schedules, and cost effective systems.
- Monitor plant performance, identify optimisation opportunities, and control operational costs.
- Foster a safety-first and continuous improvement culture within the team.
- Coordinate maintenance activities and execute capital projects related to the pipeline.
- Manage landowner relations, securing necessary permissions and addressing concerns.
- Identify and mitigate risks, facilitating issue resolution and repairs.
- Maintain documentation and generate reports for stakeholders.
What you’ll need to be successful
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering or trade certificate or significant experience in maintenance coordination.
- Experience in plant operations, maintenance coordination, or project management, preferably in the water/wastewater industry.
- Proven experience in overseeing plant operations (maintenance, sampling, reporting, procurement etc)
