Ravenswood Gold Pty Ltd is the new owner and operator of Ravenswood Gold Mine, located approximately 130kms south of Townsville. The mine is a proven producing asset and is transitioning from underground mining to a large scale, low cost open pit mining operation.

ABOUT THE ROLE
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Light Vehicle Fitter to join our team as we embark on recommencing mining of the Buck Reef West open pit. This permanent opportunity will report to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor and be a vital member of the Maintenance Department.
You will be responsible for performing service and breakdown maintenance to a variety of Ravenswood Gold mobile equipment. Meeting Safety and Production targets in accordance with all relevant company policies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Performing scheduled maintenance activities on mobile equipment
Breakdown maintenance of mobile equipment when required, including troubleshooting, sourcing of parts and equipment and undertaking repair activities in a safe and timely manner
Undertaking necessary training to achieve safe and efficient equipment maintenance
Operating and maintaining equipment within the manufacturers specifications and machine limitations
Immediately reporting any observed damage incurred to equipment
Maintaining an awareness of all other mining activities occurring in the mining area
Conducting housekeeping, keeping your work area and equipment clean and tidy
Completing all necessary documentation correctly and on time
Contributing towards any improvements of initiatives relating to productivity or costs

Certificate III Engineering Light Vehicle Mechanical or Diesel Fitter
5 years experience working in a similar environment
Be a team player and work well in a team environment
Strong communication skills, problem solving skills and analytical skills
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in your work
Knowledge of relevant statutory obligations
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and mining software
