The Opportunity:

To meet the strategic needs of our business, Ampcontrol are currently seeking a highly motivated Key Account Manager to join our growing Kewdale team. This role will be responsible for the implementation of sales activities across nominated accounts in accordance with Customer Team Business Strategy, operational business plans, and the yearly orders budgets for the region.

The successful candidate will need to possess a sound understanding of the Ampcontrol product mix which includes capital projects, overhaul, SPS’s, electronics, retro fit, site works, cable repairs, new cable sales, hire and repair, and HV equipment maintenance for the mining, utilities, heavy industrial, and tunnelling industries.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing a close relationship with key stakeholders, managers, and staff across the nominated Account Package.
  • Identifying new opportunities across mining, utilities, tunnelling, heavy industrial, and other identified industries.
  • Planning and executing strategies using the Ampcontrol template Account Plan being maintained in the CRM.
  • Developing and executing a ‘Call Plan’ for the nominated Account Package and log details in the CRM.
  • Drive growth in the Ampcontrol business through achieving budgets for nominated Account Package.

Please note that regular travel to other Ampcontrol and customer sites / regions will be a requirement of this role.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Demonstrated experience selling ongoing services, products, and solutions within the Electrical Manufacturing sector supporting the Mining, Utilities, or Heavy Industrial industries.
  • An Electrical Trade OR Tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business or Electrical Engineering (Desirable).
  • A current full Australian Driver’s Licence.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Prior experience working in a role involving performance indicators, sales targets, and reports.
  • A strong service orientation with high levels of initiative.
  • Ability to work interstate and intrastate as required.
