Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage HSEQT systems and processes.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans, ensuring alignment with company values.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the HSEQT team, including 2 direct reports and 2-5 indirect reports.
  • Drive the development and management of HSE policies, procedures, and change management initiatives.
  • Conduct internal audits and manage external certification processes.
  • Lead incident investigations and mentor staff to achieve positive outcomes.

Essential Requirements

  • Graduate Qualification with a Diploma in Occupational Health, Safety, or Environment.
  • Proven experience in HSE system management within mining or related industries.
  • Strong track record in developing HSE policies and procedures.
  • Expertise in change management, stakeholder consultation, and internal auditing.
  • Excellent time management, conflict resolution, and coaching skills.
  • High digital literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite.

Highly Regarded:

  • Experience with Mining or Civil Engineering Contractor Supplier organisations.
  • Proven ability in managing relationships with Tier 1 resource clients.
  • Advanced skills in digital/IT solutions development.

Special Conditions:

  • 24-hour contact availability for security and emergency purposes.
  • Potential need for special permits and a C class licence.
  • Regular ad-hoc site travel to remote areas.
