heavy duty equipment technician
the heavy duty equipment technician safely repairs, troubleshoots, adjusts, overhauls and maintains mobile heavy-duty equipment throughout the mine and milling operation. the heavy duty equipment technicians work collaboratively with the planning and team to deliver execution of the integrated plan and schedule.
key responsibilities
area 1\:
safely repairs, troubleshoots, adjusts, overhauls and maintains mobile heavy-duty equipment throughout the mine and milling operation.
- diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required.
- adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power tools.
- test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers’ specifications.
- clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment.
- service attachments and working tools.
- operate equipment safely.
- ensure all equipment is maintained and used in accordance with company health and safety standards.

- watch for inefficiencies or problems.
