Our client Berendsen Fluid Power is seeking a Fitter Machinist Apprentice to join their team in Berkeley, NSW.

Job Details

In this role, you will develop valuable machining skills, operating a range of metalworking machines, including lathes and mills, to shape, slot and bore components.

You’ll learn to interpret drawings and specifications, repair and maintain hydraulic cylinders and use equipmentall in a workshop environment alongside experienced tradespeople.

Key Duties Include:

  • Assisting tradespeople with daily tasks
  • Stripping and disassembling mechanical and hydraulic components
  • Painting and cleaning parts and equipment
  • Measuring components with precision
  • Reassembling mechanical and hydraulic components

This four-year apprenticeship will equip you to become a qualified Fitter Machinist and earn your MEM Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade.

About You

Were seeking a motivated individual who takes pride in quality work, pays close attention to detail and has a proactive approach to learning. A strong desire to develop new skills in a supportive environment is essential.

While extensive prior experience is not necessary, a basic understanding of mechanical components and comfort with hand tools will be beneficial.

  • Completion of a pre-apprenticeship or hands-on experience (highly regarded, but not essential)
  • Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical, Drug and Alcohol Screen and Police Check
