HunterNet Career Connections is a Group Training organisation that specialises in providing apprentices and trainees to various industries in the Hunter region.
What is the difference between an apprenticeship and traineeship?
The main differences between the two are that an apprenticeship usually lasts for 3 4 years and covers trades, such as electrical, fitter/machinist and boilermaking. Whilst a traineeship normally lasts one or two years and provides training in vocational areas not usually covered by apprenticeships, these can include administration, warehousing and storage, electrotechnology, marketing and sales.
