About the role:
We are looking for an electrical Engineer / estimator to contribute to the success of Zinfra by the production of accurate and profitable pricing submissions to our Clients.
This includes estimating for medium to large, sometimes complex and/or strategic Proposals, generally >$5M to <$100M in value.
The Electrical Engineer / Estimator will consolidate internal and external costs using procurement practices, matched to a delivery schedule, before applying indirect costs, contingency and margin to produce a price.
Ideally you will have experience in Transmission lines Or substations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Review Client Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation for estimating requirements
- Address all Client drawings, specifications, documentation and industry and Australian standards in the Estimate
- Contribute to a team culture that optimises personal and team capability and performance
- Adhere to the Estimating Procedure and applicable forms, tools and Guidelines
- Utilise Expert Estimation for estimates and business approved models, templates and calculators
About you:
The successful candidate will possess experience in estimating infrastructure and construction projects within the utility services sector as well as experience estimating construct only, design and construct, EPC, BOOM, asset inspection, asset maintenance, ticketed works and O&M Contracts.
You will have proven experience on projects and cost estimating transmission line and substation projects as well as experience in lump sum estimating, schedules of rates, target cost budgets and open book estimating.
Stakeholder management skills will be required to liaise with a range of different external and internal stakeholders as well as experience using an estimating software, ideally Expert Estimating.
