THE ROLE

The Reach Stacker Operator will typically work as part of a small team performing well defined tasks where there is a specific objective and outcome. The primary objectives of this role is to safely and efficiently execute Reach Stacker operations within controlled environment; to unload, load and manage cargo as per customer requirements within the Qube Energy operations area in Dampier / Karratha region of Western Australia.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Safe and Efficient Operations of Material / Cargo Handling Equipment including being skilled with various forklift types 3 tonne to 45 tonne Reach Stacker with the primary machine proficiency required is management and control of Reach Stacker.
  • Work with a small team to ensure safe and efficient flow of transport through operational yards.
  • Reposition container/s within the yard as required
  • Stack containers as per Safe Working Instructions
  • Complete all necessary associated documentation
  • Equipment management, take good care of assets / plant under your care
  • Be an effective communicator with a solutions-based mindset
  • Preparedness to contribute to innovation and continuous improvement
  • Actively work to keep the workplace clean and safe, using the 5S principles of Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardise and Sustain.
  • Ensure Biosecurity Management Plan for location is read and applied too for the facility and processing of material and cargo.
  • Operate equipment and machinery with care and in a safe manor.
  • Safely load and unload trucks of various configurations and sizes in a timely manner. Unload vehicles accurately and within specified time limits with a focus ensuring materials are physically receipted correctly, employing appropriate manual handling behaviours.
  • Any other reasonable request or task that is within their physical capability and skill set and in which they have been trained to the required standard.
  • Follow the principles of Chain of Responsibility

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 3 Years experience in a similar role
  • Specialised systems knowledge
  • Computer literate and experienced in MS Office Suite
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence (Car)
  • Current Forklift Licence (LF)
  • Current Reach Stacker competency
  • Chain of Responsibility qualification
  • Certificate III or IV Supply Chain / Logistics (Desirable)
  • Riggers License (Desirable)
  • Dangerous Goods Awareness and qualified in in transport of DG by Road, Air & Sea (Desirable)
  • Pro-active, goal oriented with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent customer focus and able to consistently meet Qube Energy expectations
