The Opportunity
SEE Group have a great career opportunity available for a Surveyor to join our highly professional and skilled team delivering a major mining project. This is a full-time role, FIFO from Brisbane QLD to Orange NSW. You’ll work closely with teams across engineering, supervision and project management.
Responsibilities

  • Liaise on a daily basis with site supervisors and engineering staff
  • General survey fieldwork
  • Compile work-as-executed models
  • Create field set out designs
  • Prepare survey sketches
  • Create machine control files
  • Interrogate infrastructure design and identify issues
  • Calculate volumetric and area quantities
  • Install, measure and adjust survey control networks
  • Carry out aerial drone flight surveys
  • Create earthworks models as required

Essential Skills and Attributes

 

  • A Tertiary qualification in surveying, spatial science or similar.
  • Knowledge of current Engineering surveying techniques and experience in actual project delivery.
  • Experience in TBC, 12d and use of a full range of surveying equipment.
  • Demonstrated numerical accuracy and analytical skills.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Proven management skills, practices and planning ability.
  • UAV – REPL will be an advantage.
  • Highly effective planning, organising and problem-solving skills together with the ability to lead, motivate and influence others.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • High regard for personal safety and safety compliance
