About Island Gold Mine: Alamos Gold’s Island Gold Mine is one of Canada’s highest grade and lowest cost gold mines. With over 550 team members, the underground operation is located in northern Ontario, just east of the town of Dubreuilville, 83 kilometres northeast of Wawa. Through ongoing exploration success, Island Gold’s Mineral Reserves and Resources have continued to grow in size and quality. This has supported a multi-phase expansion of the operation, driving production higher, costs lower, and strong free cash flow growth. Qualifications:

Graduate BSc or BEng in Mining Engineering
Previous experience in an open pit mine operation would be highly regarded.
The individual should demonstrated a high level of energy, self motivation and strong organizational skills.
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, growing work environment.
The incumbent will demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, a strong commitment to working in a safe, socially responsible manner.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, Mine Design suites (Deswik, Minesight, Vulcan or Promine) and Autocad is required.

The schedule for this position is based in a camp operation working on an rotation schedule with flights provided from Toronto, Sudbury and Rouyn-Noranda.
