Ergon Energy Network have a permanent opportunity for an Electrical Tradesperson to join our team located in Tully and were inviting applications from suitably qualified applicants.
Tully is a gorgeous little town situated in the Cassowary Coast region of Far North Queensland. It sits about 140km south of Cairns and 210km north of Townsville.

About the role:
As an Electrical Fitter Mechanic, you will install, repair, commission and maintain various items of electrical equipment and plant.
As a Linesperson and/or Live Line Linesperson, you will construct, maintain and repair overhead, high, and low voltage electrical distribution and sub-transmission systems, street lighting mains and customer service lines. Perform live line methodology on Energy Queensland (Ergon Energy and Energex) networks.
About you:
Critical to your success in this role is your:
- Queensland Electrical Licensing Board Certificate of Competency as an EFM or Linesperson
- Demonstrated knowledge of an electricity distribution/transmission system, including construction and maintenance of the electrical network.
- Working knowledge of Electricity Act & Regulations, Workplace Health & Safety Act and Regulations, and other relevant statutory acts & regulations.
- Availability for call out and emergency work.
- Willingness to travel to surrounding areas from time to time to undertake work.
- Current C class open Drives Licence.
You will be required to complete a pre-employment medical as part of the selection process.
