We are recruiting on behalf of a highly respected building services engineering consultancy, renowned for delivering innovative and sustainable projects across a diverse range of sectors, including commercial, residential, healthcare, and education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of electrical systems for various building services projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate closely with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver integrated building services solutions.
- Perform detailed electrical calculations, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and security systems.
- Prepare technical specifications, reports, and design documentation.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and technicians within the team.
- Conduct site inspections and surveys, providing input throughout all project stages from concept to completion.
- Liaise with clients, ensuring their requirements are fully understood and met through the delivery of high-quality solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in electrical engineering within a building services consultancy environment.
- RPEQ status or working towards it is highly desirable.
- Strong technical knowledge of building services systems, relevant codes of practice, and industry standards (e.g., BS, CIBSE, IET).
- Proven experience in delivering large-scale projects within sectors such as commercial, residential, healthcare, or education.
- Proficiency with relevant design software such as AutoCAD, Revit and Dialux.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage client relationships and lead project teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
