Fitzroy Mining Operations is a new force in the Queensland metallurgical coal mining industry with a portfolio of existing operations and a pipeline of growth projects. In our short history, we have successfully reinvigorated operations at Carborough Downs underground mine, breathed new life into the Broadlea open cut and we also have our new underground longwall mine at Ironbark No.1.
About the role
Based on site at Ironbark No.1 and reporting to the Health, Safety, Training & Risk Manager, as our Document Controller, you will be responsible for the administration of the Document Control System, associated processes and maintaining the documents on the SHMS database. You will also manage the data collection of reported incidents and hazards, JSOs Actions Register
Key Responsibilities of the role will include:
- Administration of the document control function
- Administration of the process flow of document from creation to deletion, including the iterations
- Upload updated documents to the SHMS system and SharePoint electronic document control system
- Maintain compliance documents on the SHMS system
- Any other duty or responsibility as directed by your direct supervisor or upline management
Got what it takes?
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role with a focus on document management
- Ideally, experience within a heavy industry Health / Safety / Training function
- Mining experience is preferred but not essential
- Work Health and Safety qualification highly desirable but not essential
- Highly developed administration skills with experience in utilisation of external database portals and internal database systems
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
