About The Role

Due to continued growth the role is to undertake work with the engineering team to lead the design of a structure to ensure it meets the needs of the client whilst adhering to applicable design codes. 

Working within a team environment of Engineers and Sales Professionals, the Design Draftsperson will have to interact with all team members to ensure that the design drafting work completed is correct to both standards and the clients requirements.

Main Responsibilities

       Liaise with project delivery team members to ensure client expectations, scope of works, and constructability are achieved

         Work directly with engineers to draw the most cost-effective designs

         Provide full design drawings to be issued for approval and certification

         Provide concept drawings and sketches for other draftees for drafting

         Create and review 3D Models for clashes, constructability and Production

         Review, markup and comment on 3D models and drawings created by other team members

         Detail workshop drawings for fabrication and production purposes for individual parts

         Attend weekly design and drafting meetings to determine project scopes, timelines and deliverables

         Mentor and provide training to other draftees

Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience

         Advanced understanding of Australian Drafting Standards

         Experience using Revit and AutoCAD (required)

         Strong written and verbal communication skills

         Good time management skills

         Ability to establish strong working relationships
