Job Description
As a result of our continued growth and expansion, we have a new opportunity for a Controls Systems Engineer who will design and engineer project specific solutions within the Engineering and Design division, to meet our requirements of Pacific Energy Renewables (PER) and the end user.
You will be involved in many aspects including but not limited to – the design, implementation and testing of high-quality solutions using engineering applications for PLCs, DCS, RTUs, BESS, PV systems, Historians, SCADA and OT Networks,.
This role will be based in our Darwin or Perth offices.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research, development, and design of control systems
- Perform engineering design and related duties through the entire project life cycle (concept to commissioning), including, control system software development (PLC, SCADA, inverters, and generators), equipment specifications and selection, schematic and wiring design and virtual testing of software
- Develop hardware and software functional design specifications
- Develop and review technical documentation such as Functional Design Specifications, Signal List, Cause and Effect Matrix, Execution Plan and Work Instructions
- Participate in design reviews, SID, HAZOP and CHAZOPs
- Develop Inspection/Installation Test Plans (ITPs), ITRs and Testing procedures
- Design and implementation of system architectures (OT) in industrial automation
- Liaise with engineers, electricians, supervisors, consultants, external developers, client and stakeholders
- Commission (FAT) at Pacific Energy Renewables or clients premises
- Travel to site to commission (SAT) control systems
- Participate in on-call remote support roster as required
ABOUT YOU:
- Strong understanding of engineering principles
- Degree in Electrical, Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering certified by Engineers Australia
- Control System engineering experience including design
- Hardworking, understand team objectives and willing to learn
