About the Role:
If you are chasing a rewarding career and job security with Australia’s leading pump, power and compressed air hire equipment specialists, we have an opportunity to join the team as a Civil Labourer in our Perth Branch. The successful candidate will be part of the AIC team, you will perform maintenance and repairs; installations; commissioning; and mobilisation/de-mobilisation of plant & equipment associated with works in and around the water, wastewater and construction groundwater industries. This role primarily focusses on the assembly, installation and commissioning onsite and additional maintenance and repair work in the workshop. You will perform work on various Perth Metro based and WA based Mining projects including dewatering installations and sewer bypass pumping operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with installations and commissioning of small to large scale pumping systems
• Undertake mobilisation and demobilisation of pumping equipment
• Assisting with maintenance and repairs of plant and equipment
• Perform function testing of pumping systems
• Flange Management
• Ensuring timely completion for all inspections, testing and safety paperwork
• Work to system drawings and BOM’s
• Assisting or collaborating with other departments to achieve key business objectives
• Manage OH&S and environmental hazards in the workplace and onsite
• Delivering exceptional customer service and championing the NPE brand
• Intra and interstate travel may be required
• Other duties as directed by your supervisor
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
• Current Driver’s Licence
• Construction Induction
• Forklift Licence (LF)
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to read and interpret drawings
• Ability to work with flexibility and initiative with limited direction or supervision
• Patient, flexible and adaptable to changing and challenging circumstances with great problem-solving skills
• Excellent time management and an ability to juggle multiple competing priorities
• Ability to work well with other team members and champion the NPE brand
Desirable:
• Previous experience in a Civil Construction or Mining environment with dewatering operations including Well Point Dewatering, Sump Dewatering, Pipelaying or Sewer Bypass operations
• Experience in Rental, Construction or Heavy industries
• Working at heights
• Confined Space Entry
• High risk Crane (CN / CV) Licence
• HR Licence
