The Opportunity
As our Chemist – Liquid and Hazardous Waste you will coordinate the safe effective and efficient acceptance and disposals of relevant waste materials in support of our customers needs. You will be responsible for the identification, manifesting, labelling and segregation of incoming waste and will liaise with drivers from our clients to safely manage the collection, transport and processing of waste materials. This will require a combination of your technical chemical knowledge as well as your communication, people management and prioritisation skills.

What you’ll be responsible for
- The safe unloading and DWER and ADG licence compliance for packaged waste received at our Kalgoorlie site
- Support both Sales and Operations teams with relevant tasks on client sites and all Veolia Liquid and Hazardous Waste locations
- Plan and implement lab operations
- Liaise with customers and coordinate resolution of all problems or issues in a timely manner
- Sampling – preparation and submission to the lab as required.
What you’ll need to be successful
Tertiary level qualifications in chemistry or equivalent
Relevant technical experience in an operational environment
Current drivers licence
