CHEFS NEEDED
An exciting career opportunity has become available for Chefs within the Catering team based at Sydney airport precinct. Reporting to the Executive Chef – Operations, you will be responsible for producing food items according to the approved specifications and recipes for Asian cuisine.

THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the preparation and cooking of food items according to approved specification and recipes. To ensure that food preparation is made on time within designated schedules.
  • Check all materials and foodstuff ensuring that they are used before spoilage.
  • Keep all food preparation areas clean at all times.
  • Supervising tasks being performed by Catering Assistants and unqualified chefs in designated section.
  • Maintain efficient sanitation services, garbage disposal and chilling systems that comply with the regulations and requirements of the client’s HACCP plan.
  • Compile reports and documents as required.
  • Always promote a safe work environment.

THE REQUIRMENTS OF THE ROLE

  • Cert 3 or 4 commercial cookery certificate
  • Police Check, pre-employment D & A medical required for the role.
  • Experience working in a bulk cooking environment is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in a food manufacturing department is preferable but not essential.
  • Ability to work across a 7- day roster, Day and Afternoon shifts
