  • Monday to Thursday 10.5 hour shifts, Friday 8.5 hour shifts
  • Day Shifts Monday Thursday: 6:00AM 16:30PM
  • Day Shifts Friday: 6:00AM – 14:30PM
  • Night Shifts Monday Thursday: 16:00PM – 02:30AM
  • Night Shifts Friday: 14:00PM to 22:30PM
  • Hourly rates starting from $
  • Overtime rate* starting from $

About the role

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor,  you will be responsible for welding the new Caterpillar fleet whilst maintaining safe work practices and a safe work environment.

We are seeking candidates who are keen to learn, be a part of a team and most of all are reliable, driven and hardworking. Our projects are long term and we require people who are seeking consistent work and are invested in their own development.
This position is within our New Machines Division. We offer industry leading pay rates, project-based work with a strong focus on your safety. Your primary responsibilities in this role will be;

  • Welding and fabricating heavy equipment
  • Working with the workshop manager and other tradespeople to improve quality and job efficiency

About you

The ideal candidates will have extensive experience in a similar role, your previous work history will show several years experience working within the heavy equipment or similar industry. You will be available Monday Friday with some OT work as required, you will be reliable, hardworking and have a strong understanding of your safety responsibilities onsite. You will also possess the following skills and licences:

  • Trade qualified Boilermaker/Welder
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong commitment to meeting customer requirements
  • Strong safety orientation and able to produce quality work
