Assistant Supervisor – Overburden Emplacement Facility

Accountabilities:
- Direct a team of over 40 operators to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Facilitate daily GCOM meetings to support the mining supervisor effectively.
- Engage collaboratively with stakeholders (dispatch, mill, crusher) to achieve strategic targets.
- Implement Daily and Weekly Mine Plans, encompassing drill patterns and maintenance schedules.
- Assess performance against KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Deliver consistent mentoring and constructive feedback to crew members.
- Prioritise the achievement of comprehensive operational objectives across all shifts.
- Adhere to regulatory requirements pertaining to material management.
- Foster transparent communication with the crew and encourage inquiries.
- Comprehend and execute the Voids Management procedure.
- Maintain accurate daily production records and address unresolved issues promptly
Successful applicant will have:
- Minimum of 5 years of production experience in an open-pit mining environment.
- At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role, such as Leading Hand or Supervisor, with a proven ability to lead and develop teams and junior colleagues.
- Possession of a valid manual driver’s license.
- Certification in S1, S2, and S3 supervisory competencies.
- Current First Aid certification.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities recognized in prior performance evaluations.
- Strong commitment to continuous improvement.
- Proficient in multitasking and effective problem-solving.
